Iloilo bikers top Manggahan 4X/BMX tilt

ILONGGO cyclists stamped their class in the Manggahan 4X/BMX event as they ruled the men’s and women’s open categories at the Woodland Bike Park in Brgy. Ravina, Sibunag, May 12, 2019.

Iloilo City biker Gudjie Deslate surpassed the extreme off-road trails and river crossing to finish atop in the Open Elite BMX division. He defeated Franlie Bretaña and Jun Rey Denisa Jr., who settled for second and third place, respectively.

Naomi Gardose of Iloilo also came out on top of the Open Women Elite after crushing Lea Denise Belgira, Phoebe Faith Frial, and Jaimee Rose Denisa.

In the beginner 4X event, Jhussel Bool claimed the overall title at the expense of Jun Rey Denisa Jr. and Lester Fabillon. Franlie Bretaña won the 29 Below 4X ahead of Lee Lumbayan, Sean Ezekiel Borja, and Jay Valencia.

Dennis Acdol Jr. of Iloilo dominated the 30-39 4X after beating Warjoe Herrera, Ryan Melliza, and Joseph Benliro.

Deslate failed to replicate his winning stroke after falling to Karlo Acdol and Dennis Acdol Jr. in the Open Elite 4X event.

Meanwhile, Johann Cade Villa ruled the Kiddie Fun Race 4 and Below category. He eliminated Sander Tabligan and Travis Galampanao, who ranked second and third, respectively.

In the 5-6 years old category, EJ Nicole Aujero outlasted James Patrick Flores and Xander Eduard Tabligan to capture the overall title.

Wayne Zyross Gananan toppled Rod Jazzen Amaquin and Kirk Ravynn Baradas to snatch the crown in the 7-8 years old event.

Tyan and Aaron Kyle Dela Gente also wowed the crowd after winning first and second in the 9-10 years old division, while Ben Brian Babica, Gyan Dela Gente, and Jaimee Rose Denisa completed the top three winners in the 11-12 years old division.

In the 13-15 years old, Jun Rey Denisa outplayed Lyle Andre Goles and Ben Rian Babica, while in the Women’s Open, Jaimee Rose Denisa topped the tournament ahead of EJ Nicole Aujero and Imee Marie Herrera.

Around 80 participants supported the weekend event which is in line with the celebration of the 2019 Manggahan Festival.
