Illegal drugs recovered from slain bizman’s bag

ROXAS CITY, Capiz — Suspected shabu or crystal meth was recovered from the bag of a man who was shot dead along with his live-in partner at Brgy. Mianay Sigma, Capiz last Tuesday.

Members of the Scene of the Crime Operations (SOCO) of Capiz Provincial Crime Laboratory Office (CPCLO) reported finding 11 sachets of suspected shabu from the bag of Rodrigo Nepomuceno, 56.

Nepomuceno and live-in partner Rodalia Sarona, 57, were gunned down while opening their store at Sitio Sibunag, Brgy. Mianay on Tuesday morning.

Authorities also recovered from the bag PHP15,000 cash and receipts from a money courier.

The two victims suffered fatal injuries on different parts of their bodies which led to their instantaneous deaths.

Based on the Post-Mortem Examination conducted by Dr. Maria Teresa Tan, Municipal Health Officer of Sigma town, Nepomuceno suffered six gunshot wounds in the right portion of his ear, face waist, back portion of his head, right shoulder, and body.

Sarona had four gunshot injuries on her left breast, back of her neck, and left portion of her shoulder and face.

The CPCLO recovered 13 ammunition cartridges, a bullet, and 6 deformed bullets.

Police are still facing a blank wall on the suspects who killed the couple.

Nepomuceno and Sarona both faced illegal drug charges before their deaths.
