The second most wanted person of Iloilo City was arrested evening of Jan 16, 2022 at Barangay 2, Bacolod City.

Members of the Iloilo City Police Office-City Intelligence Unit (ICPO-CIU) collared Jan Michael Talamor, 23, of Barangay North Fundidor, Molo, Iloilo City, while in hiding at Purok Sigay.

Talamor also used to stay at Sitio Malitbog Ilawod, Barangay Wright, Tapaz, Capiz.

Chief Master Sergeant Jessie Jim Rubio of the ICPO-CIU said that the case against the suspect was filed in Capiz province.

However, since he was using Molo as one of his last known addresses, he was included in the ICPO’s most wanted list.

ICPO intelligence operatives served the arrest warrant against Talamor for a rape case.

When he was taken to the ICPO headquarters, it was learned that he was also wanted for another case.

Thus, ICPO-CIU personnel also served the arrest warrant against him for violation of Section 5 (b) Art. III of Republic Act 7610 (Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act) docketed under Criminal Case No. C-21-2180-02.

Judge Rommel Leonor of the Regional Trial Court 6 (RTC-6) Branch 21, Capiz issued the arrest warrant. No bail was set for his temporary freedom.

Rubio said they are still checking if who are the plaintiffs or complainants against the suspect.

But Talamor told investigators that a former girlfriend filed the case against him following a fallout.

Talamor claimed to have left the woman and is now with a live-in partner and their child.

On the child abuse case, Talamor said that his ex-girlfriend’s sister stood as the complainant.

Talamor is now detained at the lock-up cell of Molo Police Station.
