BACOLOD City – A woman died after she was stabbed by her husband, who also later stabbed himself inside their house in Barangay Sacsac, Manjuyod, Negros Oriental last Thursday.
The names of the 36-year-old victim and 40-year-old suspect were withheld.
According to the police, the couple had a heated argument early that day when the husband learned that his wife will leave their house along with their son.
The wife and her son were supposed to go to Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental.
This irked the husband prompting him to get a knife from their kitchen and allegedly stabbed his wife several times that led to her death.
After the incident, the husband then attempted to commit suicide by stabbing himself.
The husband is in critical condition while being admitted to Negros Oriental Provincial Hospital.
