Houston targeting Westbrook

WITH Paul George departing Oklahoma City and the latter receiving future first round picks from the LA Clippers, it is with no doubt that the team is looking to rebuild.

But Russell Westbrook is still undecided.

As free agency is closing, Westbrook and OKC should meet and decide on their terms to define their relationship.

According to ESPN’s Tim MacMahon, the Rockets are interested in Westbrook despite a source saying that the trade would be a “long shot.”

Rocket’s floor general, Chris Paul, is still under contract with $125 million over the next three years. And with James Harden under a four-year, $228 M contract extension, it would be tough for the Rockets to clear the necessary cap space.

Former Clipper, Danilo Gallinari, who was acquired in the trade for George, will help carry the load if Westbrook stays with OKC.
