Fifteen tribes perform at the Iloilo Freedom Grandstand for the opening salvo of the 2023 Dinagyang Festival on Friday.
Groups from the Dagyang Barangay Tribes Competition – Sagasa, Ilonggohanon, Sagrada Familia, Molave kang Salog, Kanyaw sang Baybayanon, Parianon, Halimaw, and Pana-ad – gave the audience a sneak peek of their performances for the highlight of the Dinagyang Festival on Jan. 22.
Seven tribes representing the seven city districts of Iloilo City: Arevalo, City Proper, Jaro, La Paz, Lapuz, Mandurriao, and Molo also performed ahead of the Dinagyang Ilomination contest on Jan. 21.
The festival highlights will unfurl this weekend with the Kasadyahan sa Kabanwahanan, Dinagyang ILOmination, and Dagyang sa Barangay Tribes Competition. (Photos courtesy of CMO)
