Twelve more barangays in Iloilo City are under granular lockdown aimed to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Mayor Jerry Treñas issued Executive Order (E.O.) No. 108 on September 23, 2021 ordering localized containment on specific areas in the 12 barangays.
The 12 barangays which will be placed under localized containment include Calumpang and North Fundidor in Molo district; Lopez Jaena Norte and Railway in La Paz district; and Villa Anita and Jalandoni Wilson in City Proper district.
The lockdown will also be imposed on portions of Balabago, Cubay, Montinola, Lanit, and MH Del Pilar in Jaro district; and PHHHC BLK 17 & 22, Bolilao, Dungon C, and Oñate De Leon in Mandurriao district.
Based on the EO, the 12 barangays recorded at least two and continuously increasing number of Covid-19 cases, based on the Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) test results from Sept. 14 to Sept. 21.
The areas/portions of the 12 barangays placed under localized containment are:

*One house located at 2nd St. Juntado near fire station, Brgy. Calumpang, Molo
*One house located near barangay hall, Conpincino St., Brgy. North Fundidor, Molo
*One house located at Kahirupan Village near Pentecoastal Church, Brgy. Cubay, Jaro
*One house located at Blk 14 Lot, Costa Esmeralda Sudv., Brgy. Balabago, Jaro
*One house located at Zone 5 DB, Ledesma St., Brgy. Montinola, Jaro
*One house located near barangay hall, Zone 1, Brgy. Lanit, Jaro
*One house located near barangay hall, Brgy. MH Del Pilar, Jaro
*One house located at Zone 6, Brgy. Lopez Jaena Norte
*One house located at Zone 1, Brgy. Railway, La Paz
*One house located near basketball court, Fortunata St., Brgy. Villa Anita, City Proper
*One house located at 11-A, Bagumbayan St., Brgy. Jalandoni Wilson, City Proper

The EO prohibits gatherings of any kind of people not belonging to the same household. Sale and consumption of any form of liquor is likewise prohibited.
Meanwhile, a curfew will be implemented in the affected areas from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m.
All residents of the affected areas are highly encouraged to stay at home and “refrain from unnecessary travel” until the testing and sanitation process is completed. (ERS)
