GMA Network airs much-awaited return of NCAA Season 98 Juniors Basketball this February

GMA Networks brings the much-awaited return of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) juniors basketball tournament, airing the games on GTV from Tuesdays to Saturdays beginning February 1.

After a three-year hiatus, the NCAA Juniors Basketball games are making a  comeback at the Emilio Aguinaldo College Gym in San Marcelino, Manila. Defending champion San Beda University Red Cubs and Season 95 runner-up Lyceum of the Philippines University headlined the opening day with the Red Cubs taking home its first win, 94-74.

Earlier that day, De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde and Mapua University ushered in the start of Season 98, with Mapua edging out Benilde, 74-70.

Colegio de San Juan de Letran outscored San Sebastian College-Recoletos, 91-86 during the second game while University of Perpetual Help System beat Arellano University 71-69.

Host school Emilio Aguinaldo College, meanwhile, went up against Jose Rizal University with the latter winning, 70-58.

The elimination round of the NCAA Juniors Basketball will run until February 20.

Last month, Colegio de San Juan de Letran and the University of Perpetual Help System DALTA brought home the NCAA Season 98 Beach Volleyball crown for the Womens and Mens categories, respectively. The tournament ran from January 17-21 at the sand courts of the Subic Bay Freeport Zone in Zambales.

NCAA volleyball action continues as GTV airs ‘Game On!’ every Saturday and Sunday, 11:30 am beginning February 4. Hosted by Martin Javier the NCAA primer further hypes up the NCAA fans for the upcoming NCAA Season 98 Women’s Volleyball slated to begin on February 18. Martin will be joined by Sophia Señoron and Martin Antonio.
