Another young cadet of the Gilas Pilipinas is headed overseas.

Jordan Heading, the streaky leftie shooter of Gilas who helped them during their FIBA and Olympic Qualifying Tournament (OQT) campaign, signed a contract with the Taichung Suns in the T1 basketball league in Taiwan.

“His skills are well received by the team. We believe he can inject more energy into the Suns when he returns to Taichung,” said the Suns management in a statement.

A late-comer as a member of the Gilas young core, Heading impressed and proved he was a capable shooter while donning the blue and white representing the country.

During the final window of the FIBA Asia Cup Qualifiers, the trigger-ready Heading averaged 6.5 points and 1.5 assists.

Heading drew more praises during their OQT campaign in Serbia when he doubled his FIBA averages to 14.5 points, 3 assists, 1.5 rebounds, and 1 steal.

Heading is no stranger to Taiwan as he finished his academics at the Morrison Academy in Taichung.
