Four rape suspects nabbed

They lived far from each other, but these four wanted persons share a common thing – they were all accused of rape.

Different police units in the region arrested Jesus Diaz Jr., 53, of Barangay Tungay, Sta. Barbara, Iloilo; Delson Rondario, 33, of Barangay Rosario, Malinao, Aklan; Rogen Castor, 31, a resident of Barangay Garangan, Calinog, Iloilo; and Nelson Aller, 43, of Gawad Kalinga Village in Barangay Dinginan, Roxas City, Capiz.

Diaz, a driver, was arrested noon of August 16 at Barangay Bolong Este, Sta. Barbara.

Members of Sta. Barbara Municipal Police Station and several other police operatives from other police units collared Diaz by virtue of an arrest warrant for rape by carnal knowledge, rape by sexual assault under Article 266-A of the Revised Penal Code and violation of Section 10(A) of Republic Act 7610 (Other Acts of Abuse) docketed as Criminal Case Numbers 22-87722, 22-87723, 22-87724, 22-87725, 22-87726, 22-87727, and 22-87728.

Judge Elijo Sharon Ronzales Herrera-Bellones of the Regional Trial Court Branch 27 in Iloilo City issued the arrest warrants on Aug. 4, 2022.

No bail was set for his five counts of rape by carnal knowledge and rape by sexual assault.

On the other hand, a P80,000 bail was recommended for his case in violation of Section 10 (A) of RA 7610.

Diaz is the No. 1 most wanted man in Sta. Barbara town and sixth in Iloilo province.

Meanwhile, operatives from Aklan Police Provincial Office and Malinao Municipal Police Station arrested Rondario morning of August 17 at Barangay Caticlan, Malay, Aklan.

He is the most wanted person in Aklan province and fifth in Western Visayas.

Rondario was accused of statutory rape in CC No. 16339.

Judge Bienvinido P. Barrios Jr. of RTC Branch 3 in Kalibo, Aklan issued warrant of arrest on Aug. 8, 2022.

No bail was recommended for his temporary liberty.

In Roxas City, local police arrested Aller early morning of Wednesday at his house.

Aller, Roxas City’s most wanted man, was accused of three counts of qualified rape and two counts of violation of Section 5 (B) of RA 7610.

No bail was recommended for his rape charges and P180,000 each for violation of RA 7610.

Meanwhile, Castor was arrested for raping an underage relative. He was collared 10 a.m. of August 17 at Barangay Poblacion, Tapaz, Capiz.

Members of Bingawan Municipal Police Station arrested Castor by virtue of an arrest warrant for rape in relation to Republic Act 7610 (Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act) docketed as Criminal Case No. 15-1549-04.

All four suspects are now detained for proper disposition of their cases.
