Three women and a man were arrested in two separate police anti-narcotics operations in Iloilo province afternoon of Feb. 20, 2020.

The two operations started with the arrest of Renaliza Parreño, 28, and her live-in partner, 30-year-old Noven Adorador, of Barangay Astorga, Badiangan town.

Police Captain Dadje Delima, Janiuay police chief, said Parreño was a high-value target (HVT) drug personality being an Oplan Tokhang surrenderer.

Another drug surrenderer allegedly tipped policemen on Parreño’s illegal drug trade.

The operation against the couple happened in Barangay Damoong, Janiuay around 2:15 p.m.

However, the motorcycle-riding couple engaged the police in a chase until they were cornered at the town proper of nearby Mina.

Parreño later told authorities that her source was Yolanda Dolantes, 47, a resident of Barangay Rumbang, Pototan.

Members of Janiuay PNP, together with operatives from Pototan Police Station and the Iloilo Police Provincial Office-Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, launched another operation that led to Dolantes’ arrest.

Also arrested was Rona Lastimoso, 36, of Barangay Cahaguikican, Pototan.

The two suspects were arrested in Barangay Rumbang, Pototan.

Recovered from the two women were two sachets of suspected shabu and P1,100 buy-bust money, to include the P100 marked money.

The four suspects are now detained and will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
