Five drug bust yield P256,600 worth of ‘shabu’

BACOLOD City – Policemen here and in Negros Occidental conducted five buy-bust operations which resulted in the recovery of an estimated P256,600 worth of suspected shabu from July 26 to 27, 2019.

The seizure included worth of suspected shabu recovered at Barangay Mambulac, Silay City last Saturday from Rodel Pikit-Pikit, 24; and Jesreel Diaz, 20, both residents of the said village.

Police Major Rollie Pondevilla, Silay City police chief, said Pikit-Pikit is under their target drugs list while Diaz is a newly-identified drug personality.

Confiscated from them were seven sachets of suspected shabu weighing 10 grams, drug paraphernalia, P250 cash, and P6,000 marked money.

Police also recovered from Diaz a .38 caliber, and four ammunition.

In Escalante City, Junmar Gamao, 18, of Barangay Old Poblacion was arrested at the said village on the same day after he allegedly carnapped a motorcycle owned by 37-year-old Jenny Bugtong.

The suspect allegedly took the motorcycle parked at their house, and a cellular phone.

Gamao was arrested in a follow-up operation and recovered from him the stolen items.

Police also recovered from him three sachets of suspected shabu and pieces of aluminium foil.

Arrested at Barangay 27 here that day were Joel Pineda, and Harold John Suarez after police seized from them 10 sachets of suspected shabu weighing 6.3 grams worth P75,600, the P500 marked money, and drug paraphernalia. Both suspects are detained at Police Station 4.

Also nabbed at Barangay 29 here last Saturday was Elezardo Pantaleon, 60, of the said village, a high-value target.

Police recovered from him nine sachets of suspected shabu worth 15,000, the P200 marked money, and drug paraphernalia.

Pantaleon is detained at Police Station 1.

Joemarie Manalo, 32, of Barangay 21 here was also arrested over the weekend at Barangay Pta. Taytay, after he allegedly yielded five sachets of suspected shabu worth P10,000, the P300 marked money, and an improvised tooter. He is detained at Police Station 9.

On July 26, Solomon Leonora, 33, of Barangay 2, Hinigaran town, was arrested at the said village for the recovery of seven sachets of suspected shabu worth P6,000, the P100 marked money, P400 cash, and two lighters.
