Fire hits 3 houses, stock room

BACOLOD City – Three houses and a stock room were razed by fire here and in Negros Occidental last Thursday, with an estimated P480,000 worth of properties going up in smoke.

In Bacolod, two houses were destroyed while another was damaged in a fire at Greensville 3, Barangay Villamonte around 11:23 a.m.

The blaze gobbled an estimated P180,000 in properties, according to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP)-Bacolod. Fire out was declared around 11:51 a.m.

Later that night, a stock room was also destroyed in a blaze at Margarita extension, Barangay 2, San Carlos City.

The fire broke out around 8:55 p.m. and was declared fire out around 9:20 p.m.

The BFP has pegged the estimated damage at P300,000. No casualties were reported in both incidents.

Arson investigators have yet to determine the causes of the two conflagrations.
