Filipino-American guard Remy Martin has officially declared for the upcoming 2021 NBA Rookie Draft.

After four years playing under former Duke college great turned coach Bobby Hurley, Martin will now test the waters of the big boys’ league and pursue his NBA dream.

Martin was one of the main gunners of the Arizona State Sun Devils and put up several insane scoring performances, becoming a crowd-favorite in the NCAA.

“I just want to let you guys know that I’m extremely thankful for the four years that you guys have been supporting me. I want you guys to know that I will be pursuing my NBA dreams,” Martin said.

Martin was a different beast during his senior year with the Sun Devils after leading the team in points with 19.1 per contest on an impressive 43.3 percent shooting from the field.

Initially, Martin was supposed to enter the same draft class with Anthony Edwards, James Wiseman, Lamelo Ball, Obi Toppin, etc. but decided to spend his last playing year with Arizona and play for coach Hurley.

“I also want to give a thank you to coach Hurley and his staff for allowing me to be myself, allowing me to play my game. I also want to thank my parents, my family, you guys have been supporting me throughout the years and you guys will always be there for me,” added Martin.

Despite a below .500 win-loss record at the end of the 2020-2021 Pac-12 season with 11-14, Martin’s draft stock still went shooting after displaying his much-improved scoring prowess.
