“HE GAVE us a good problem. He is certainly in the running to grab a slot in this team as displayed by his grit and competitive spirit.”

Gilas head coach Yeng Guiao recognized Bolick’s impressive performance during their Spain camp when asked about the Northport Batang Pier’s super rookie.

Bolick, who stood in as Kiefer Ravena’s substitute due to the latter’s FIBA suspension, played tremendously in the Spain training camp as he top scored for the PH squad in two straight games.

Despite being new to the Gilas system, Bolick played like a veteran and maintained his composure against the giants of Ivory Coast and Congo.

In the race for Rookie of the Year honors in the PBA, Bolick showed he can keep up with the pace of the vets, including the Gilas mainstays.

Guiao and his coaching staff have some thinking to do before finalizing their roster.
