F2 Logistics Cargo Movers racked up their second win in a row after crushing Akari Chargers in three sets, 25-22, 25-23, 25-18, in the ongoing Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference last February 11, 2023.

After a thrilling five-set win over the PLDT High-Speed Hitters, the former Philippine Superliga (PSL) queens hardly broke a sweat against the Chargers and earned its first 3-0 win of the ongoing conference.

National team spiker Kim Dy stole the limelight for the Cargo Movers after finishing with a team-high 17 points off 16 successful attacks.

The Cargo Movers had to dig deep early in the first set after veteran outside hitter Dindin Santiago-Manabat carried Akari’s offense highlighted by a 7-1 scoring run in the first 10 minutes of action.

However, F2 finally made quick adjustments in the defensive end that slowed down Manabat midway through the second set.

The towering duo of Ivy Lacsina and Aby Maraño anchored the Cargo Movers’ middle blocking and were responsible for their strong start in the last two sets.

Dawn Macandili also made her presence felt in the floor defense department after tallying 14 successful digs and 13 made receptions.

“We have to improve talaga ‘yung kumuha agad ng game nang mas mabilis. We can’t wait for them to make more points para matalo kami. We have to be more aggressive pa sa wins,” said F2’s head coach Regine Diego.

The Cargo Movers will be looking to extend their undefeated streak when they square off against the Chery Tiggo Pro Crossovers on February 16, 2023.

Meanwhile, Akari will be gunning for its first win of the conference against the Cignal HD Spikers in the first game of the February 14 schedule.
