A 23-year-old man was arrested in a police anti-narcotics operation at Arevalo, Iloilo City afternoon of Oct. 19, 2019.

Jericho Ocampo, a son of a retired policeman, was collared at Barangay Sto. Niño Norte, Arevalo, after he sold a sachet of suspected shabu for P5,500 to a police undercover agent.
Joint elements of the Regional Drug Enforcement Unit 6 (RDEU-6) and Iloilo City Police Station 6 subsequently arrested him.

The suspect, a resident of Zone 10, Barangay Calaparan, Arevalo, was further seized with four more sachets of suspected shabu.

RDEU reports indicated that the suspect is a street-level drug pusher and sourced his supply from Bacolod City.

Ocampo is now detained and will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
