Escolin wins by landslide in Pres. Roxas town

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – The Nationalist People’s Coalition (NPC) slate in Pres. Roxas, Capiz under reelectionist Mayor Receliste “Tanoy” L. Escolin scored a landslide victory during the May 13, 2019 midterm elections.

According to Escolin, issues hurled against his administration and the rest of the NPC local candidates did not hamper their reelection and election bids.

He said that the people acknowledged the various projects and accomplishments he implemented during his three years in office.

He sincerely thanked the people of Pres. Roxas for supporting their group.

Escolin got 10,094 votes to defeat his two opponents Boboy Buenafe of the Liberal Party (4,698 votes) and Bebing Baltar, an independent candidate (60).

In the vice mayoral race, SB member Edvil John Alfaro got 7,095 votes, defeating reelectionist vice mayor Boy Diosaban of the LP (3,800) and independent candidate Luis Garra (3,506).

The elected SB members were Lalaine Badana (8,124); Poldo Bereber (7,797); Doydoy Bereber (7,058); Anjoe Samson (6,934); Rosauro Buenafe (6,881); Bernie Loretizo (6,540); Butch Asis (6,523); and Bojit Bieles (5,573).

The newly-elected municipal officials were proclaimed by the Municipal Board of Canvassers at the municipal town hall.
