Emperador Inc. posts 9-month net income of Php5.3-B

Emperador Inc. – the world’s largest brandy company owning the iconic Emperador Brandy, Fundador Spanish Brandy de Jerez, and the luxury Single Malt Scotch Whisky The Dalmore – records an 11% increase in revenues in the first nine months of this year, amounting to Php33.8 billion.

Net income amounted to Php5.3 billion.

Emperador Inc. President Winston Co said, “Long-term growth in international operations should help maintain and diversify profitability. Our luxury single malt whisky The Dalmore is leading our premium Scotch whisky business followed by Fettercairn, Tamnavulin, Jura, and Shackleton. And we have a compelling brandy portfolio comprised of the world’s leading brandy by volume, Emperador, Spanish brandies Fundador and Tres Cepas, and Mexican brandy Presidente.”

Emperador Inc.’s liquor products are sold in more than 100 countries. It owns premium, super premium, and luxury liquor brands making it a pioneering and steadfast force in liquor premiumization, especially in the Philippines.

Emperador is a liquor powerhouse that bodes well for the company’s global expansion and domestic innovation.

In August of this year, Fundador Supremo 18, the Brandy Prestige of the Ultra-Premium “Sherry Cask Collection” by Bodegas Fundador, was proclaimed as the world’s best brandy by a panel of 400 experts at the International Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC) that conducted an evaluation process for seven months.

Meanwhile, the company extended last May its two-year share buyback of up to Php5 billion that ended in May.

Emperador Inc. can repurchase up to Php3 billion for another 12 months ending on May 16, 2020. Since the start of the buyback two years ago, about 392.65 million shares have been bought back, amounting to approximately Php2.83 billion.
