Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)-Region 6 Director Rebecca Rascon welcomed over 60 participants of the DTI Regional Office VI’s 2-day Pricing and Costing Training, which started on July 27, 2022 at the Goldberry Lite Hotel in Iloilo City.
50 Business Counsellors from various provinces in Region VI and six Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP) staff attended the face-to-face training, while 12 Youth Entrepreneurship Program (YEP!): In-School Entrepreneurs Academy (YEP ISEA) mentees and three CARP staff joined online via the Zoom Platform.
The pricing and costing training is one of the three capacity building trainings to be conducted by DTI Regional Office VI which aims to improve the expertise of Business Counsellors in providing advice to clients on assessing and formulating pricing strategies.
They will also be taught on product life cycles, factors that affect costs, and steps and methods of pricing including computing wholesale and retail prices.
RD Rascon said that the Regional Business Development Division continuously implements training to hone the business counseling skills of business counsellors.
This will enable them to handle the various types of assistance sought by MSME clients as both the number of MSMEs using Negosyo Center services and the requests for assistance increase each year.
