THE Department of Tourism (DOT)-6 and Bench collaborated for the company’s 2019 summer campaign photo shoot with the concept “Live. Love. Local” held at Boracay Island last January 23-25, 2019.

The campaign aims to highlight idyllic spots, local culture and enterprises of the island.

Bench is a Philippine clothing retail brand exclusive for men’s apparel and later expanded its product line to women’s clothes.

DOT-6 Regional Director Helen Catalbas said “One of the thrusts of the DOT is to promote tourism as a major socio-economic activity, thus, partnership with the private sector is an effective strategy to boost tourism destinations in the region resulting to employment and income generation.”

The 3-day photo shoot highlighted eye-catching beaches of the island including Diniwid Beach, Balinghai Beach, Ilig- Iligan Beach and White Beach. The Ati Village, Bom Bom Bar and Maya’s Restaurant are also part of the group’s summer campaign.

Karen Jardenil, Ad and Promo of Bench, said, “We are grateful to the DOT VI for this collaboration. Special thanks also to LGU Malay, Boracay Foundation Inc., BLTMPC, Malay PNP and other partners for assisting us during our campaign.” (JMVB)
