DOLE-6 to host regional career, employment congress in Sept ‘19

THE Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE)-6 will hold a three-day Regional Career Advocacy, Employment, and Human Resource (RCAEHR) Congress on Sept 11-13, 2019 in Kalibo, Aklan.

The congress will focus on relevant topics such as Career Guidance and Employment Coaching, Labor Market Information, Child Labor in the 4th Industrial Revolution, Conflict Management, Effective Employee Discipline, and Healing Oneself of Burnout.

The congress also seeks to minimize job-skills mismatch and overcome gaps that lead to unemployment and high turnover rates.

It also aims to introduce, expand, and highlight the improvement of employment facilitation, discuss salient points of Labor Market information and its impact on the career success of jobseekers and employees, conflict management and resolution, implement employee/student discipline, achieving a work-life balance, and formulation of action plans for Guidance Counselors and Human Resources.

The RCAEHR Congress is open to members of the academe (e.g. school heads, principals, and guidance counselors) and Human Resource Managers and is expected to gather around 300 participants from Guidance Counselors’ (GC) Networks, Public Employment Service Offices, and Human Resource (HR) Networks.

This event will also serve as an avenue for the conduct of election officers of GC and HR Networks in the Provincial and Regional levels.

DOLE Region 6 Director Cyril L. Ticao is thus inviting guidance counselors and career advocates from both public and private schools and human resource managers to participate in this event and be informed of the latest updates especially on the future of work in the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution.
