World No. 1 Novak Djokovic easily dismissed Juan Ignacio Londero in their first round match up in straight sets 6-4, 7-6, 6-1 despite a left shoulder injury plaguing him during the match.

Throughout the game, Djokovic received medical aid on his left shoulder to ease the pain.

The injury affected the way he served, the way he hit the ball on his groundstrokes and his overhead smash.

It was evident to onlookers as well as those watching at home how Djokovic would grimace after finishing every point.

After displaying terrific form and seemingly getting back to his old self, Djokovic’s latest injury will put to test how far he is willing to sacrifice to win more majors.

“I was definitely tested and this is something I’ve been carrying for quite a while now. It wasn’t easy obviously playing with pain but you have to hope you’ll get some opportunities and find a way to fight,” Djokovic said.
