The De La Salle University (DLSU) Green Archers and the Adamson Soaring Falcons will have to clinch huge wins to determine which team will fill in the last slot in the UAAP Season 85 men’s basketball tournament Final Four.

Both teams will be entering the last day of the elimination phase with the Green Archers tasked to take down the University of Santo Tomas (UST) Growling Tigers while the Soaring Falcons take on the Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU) Blue Eagles today in the afternoon.

To enter the Final Four, the Green Archers must win convincingly against the Growling Tigers and must lean the Ateneo side to beat Adamson.

If Adamson loses against the Blue Eagles and the Green Archers emerge victorious against the Growling Tigers, De La Salle will have an outright berth in the semifinals.

On the other hand, if the Soaring Falcons stun the Blue Eagles or if UST will pose an upset, the Green Archers will crash out of the Final Four.

Ateneo will have all sorts of reasons to target a victory over the Soaring Falcons as they are aiming for a twice-to-beat advantage in the semifinals.

However, if they lose against Adamson, the Blue Eagles will slide down to the no. 2 spot and face the third seed of the tournament which is the National University (NU) Bulldogs.

The Bulldogs already tasted victory over Ateneo during the last elimination phase but had little luck against the UP Fighting Maroons who will rise to the top spot if the Tab Baldwin-led team loses against Adamson.

Adamson will be entering their matchup against Ateneo full of confidence after extending their winning streak to three while the Green Archers seek to bounce back after suffering defeat at the hands of the UE Red Warriors.
