DA, CAPELCO open KADIWA market outlet for Capiznons

Aiming to provide local farmers with direct market linkage and to make agricultural products more affordable to the public, the Department of Agriculture-Western Visayas (DA-WV) in partnership with Capiz Electric Cooperative, Inc. (CAPELCO) launched the KADIWA ni Ani at Kita market outlet in Roxas City last August 21, 2021.

DA-WV Regional Executive Director Remelyn R. Recoter, CAPELCO Board of Director for Roxas City Estephen Elson Londres, and Institutional Department Head Engr. Jovencio Villagracia led the ribbon-cutting ceremony and signing of a memorandum of agreement.

Agri-fishery products from different towns of Capiz such as organically-grown fruits, vegetables, root crops, herbs, dried fish, and other agricultural processed goods will be sold at lower prices to consumers on Saturdays twice a month.

“The KADIWA ni Ani at Kita is the primary program of Department of Agriculture under the leadership of Secretary William Dar where we are helping our partners to increase their income in collaborating with the local government units and private companies by bringing the produce of the farmers closer to them,” Recoter said.
