Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors denied the Miami Heat of two straight wins in their Western Conference visit, 123-110, and improved to three wins and two losses in the young 2022 NBA season on October 28, 2022.

After a tightly-contested first three quarters, the Warriors flipped the switch in the final frame courtesy of another Curry offensive clinic.

Needing something to fend off the resilient Miami squad, Curry took matters into his own hands and carried the Warriors in the final six minutes of the game.

Curry kicked off his insane scoring sequence after crossing over Tyler Herro that set up a wide-open three-pointer, swooshing straight to the basket at the 5:34 mark of the fourth quarter.

After the shot went in, Curry screamed with emotions while banging his chest that marked Golden State’s dominant closing show.

Miami failed to retake the momentum and watched the Warriors dissect them on both ends of the floor. Curry wasn’t done doing damage and wowed the crowd once again with a dazzling layup finish to extend their lead to eight, 113-105.

Curry led all scorers with a 33-point explosion along with nine assists, seven rebounds, and one steal in 36 heavy minutes of playing time.

This is Curry’s fourth time in five games to eclipse the 30-point mark after scoring 33 against the Lakers, 34 in Denver, 33 on the Kings, and another 30-point masterpiece that cooled the Heat.

Klay Thompson also bounced back after receiving his first-ever NBA ejection against the Phoenix Suns where they lost, 134-105.

From a two-point performance, the sweet-shooting guard dropped 19 big points built from five drained three-pointers.

It was a good sight to see for the Warriors after Thompson scored all Golden State’s first five points when he drained a trey and converted an open layup.

Meanwhile, Miami continued to struggle early in the season and fell to two wins and four losses. They even led 75-74 midway through the third quarter but went cold in the fourth.

Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo were the only stars that shone for the Heat, scoring 27 and 26 points, respectively.

Golden State will look to add another win when they battle the Charlotte Hornets tomorrow while the Heat will look to retaliate against the Sacramento Kings.
