On their road to redemption after falling to Petro Gazz in the finals of the 2019 PVL reinforced conference, the Creamline Cool Smashers looked to score their revenge against the Angels as they met again in the PVL Open conference finals.

Focused and determined, the women in white and pink handed the Angels a beating after clinching all three sets, 25-14, 25-22, 27-25, in game 1 of their best of three finals.

The Cool Smashers just fired at will, using their firepower to impose their will on the Angels early as they punished the hardwood with their heavy spikes.

The Angels eventually stepped their game up in the last two sets but the veteran smarts and composure of the Cool Smasher led them in taking the two sets.

Jema Galanza provided to be the x-factor in the match as she put up MVP numbers, chalking up 15 huge points with 10 excellent digs.

Alyssa “The Phenom” Valdez also played a crucial part in the victory as her clutch service aces lifted her team for a momentum boost, finishing the game with 19 points.

National team setter Jia Morado proved why she is one of the best setters in the league after completing 21 excellent sets that set up most of Creamline’s attacks.

Despite Petro Gazz’s insane run and scoring spree in the last two sets, the Cool Smashers still proved that experience beats youth.
