COVID-19 death toll in Capiz now 478

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has claimed 478 lives in Capiz since the pandemic broke out.

Data from the Provincial Health Office (PHO) indicated that Roxas City has the most number of deaths with 187 from March 2020 to Jan. 29, 2022.

The town of Pontevedra has 38 followed by Mambusao – 29, Panay and Panitan with 25 each, President Roxas – 22, Dumalag – 21, Maayon – 20, Pilar – 19, Sigma – 15; Dao, Ivisan and Jamindan with 13 each, Tapaz – 12, Dumarao – 11, Sapian – 9, and Cuartero – 6.

Meanwhile, 674,658 individuals in the province of Capiz have been vaccinated for COVID-19, including 429,829, or 74.8 percent, who are fully vaccinated (completed two doses).

At present, 69,418 have yet to be vaccinated.

Pontevedra town has the most number of vaccinated individuals followed by Roxas City and President Roxas town.
