Cops seize P149,300 in ‘shabu’

BACOLOD City – Nine buy-bust operations and a checkpoint operation here and in Negros Occidental resulted in the seizure of P149,300 worth of suspected shabu from Aug 11 to 13, 2019.

On Aug 13, more or less six grams of suspected shabu worth P90,000 were seized from Alvin Jardiolin, 32, of Barangay 5, Silay City in a buy-bust at Barangay 1.

Jardiolin is on the target list of the Silay City Police Station, police records indicated.

Last Monday, police stations in the cities of Talisay, Victorias, and Himamaylan, and towns of La Castellana, and Cauayan also conducted separate drug bust operations which led to the confiscation of an estimated P24,300 worth of suspected shabu from six persons.

Over the weekend, Isabela Municipal Police Station recovered P3,000 worth of suspected from an individual on August 11.

In Bacolod City, a total of P35,000 worth of suspected shabu were seized in a buy-bust and checkpoint operations at Barangay Sum-ag and Barangay 2, respectively.

A 19-year-old boy was arrested after he allegedly yielded P15,000 worth of illegal drugs in a police checkpoint at Barangay 2 last Monday while two persons were arrested in a drug bust at Barangay Sum-ag on the same day, with a recovery of P20,000 worth of suspected shabu.
