ROXAS CITY, Capiz – 86 police officers joined a seminar on Land Transportation Office (LTO) deputation at Capiz Police Provincial Office in Camp Apil here.

Police Colonel Julio Gustilo Jr., Capiz police director, said each municipal police station sent three representatives, the Roxas City Police Station sent five personnel, and Capiz Provincial Mobile Police Force Company sent 31 officers to the seminar.

Atty. Gaudioso P. Geduspan II, OIC-Regional Director of LTO-6, cited the increasing number of road accidents from 2018 to 2019 in Capiz.

Geduspan said LTO needs deputized agents to support its regular roadside operations and apprehend violators.

Police Colonel Winston de Belen, Highway Patrol Group regional chief, said the participants must complete the two-day seminar, which is more on familiarization of  Republic Act  No. 4136 (Land Transportation and Traffic  Code of the Philippines) and proper law enforcement before their deputation.

Gustilo thanked the LTO and HPG for their cooperation and collaboration.

He also reminded Capiz cops to remain polite in dealing with traffic violators.
