Cops dismiss reported abduction after man returns home

BACOLOD City – The Police Station 1 here dropped the alleged abduction case reported on Thursday night after the supposed male victim returned home.

Police Major Ramel Sarona, station commander, said no abduction happened in their area.

On Thursday night, a woman reported to the police around 8 p.m. that her husband was allegedly abducted by unidentified individuals on board a vehicle while he was walking with his cousin in Barangay 13 here.

The woman also reported that she could not reach her husband through phone.

Upon learning of the report, Sarona said they immediately investigated and later found out that the woman’s husband went home to his parents in Barangay Banago here.

Sarona said the woman’s husband knew the person who invited him for a ride, adding that he even called his wife late that night to inform her that he was okay.

“Nagpadala lang siguro sa emosyon kay wala ka puli iya bana, nag worry na siya,” the station commander added.

Sarona said they were able to talk to the man’s father and confirmed that his son went to their house that night and that he was unharmed.
