A construction worker was arrested over his alleged involvement in the illegal drug trade.

Felmark Labrador was collared at 1:15 p.m. on March 14 in a buy-bust operation at Barangay Airport, Mandurriao, Iloilo City.

Members of the Iloilo City Police Station 5 arrested the 40-year-old suspect, a resident of Barangay Guzman-Jesena, Mandurriao, after he allegedly sold a sachet of suspected shabu for P2,000.

When he was subsequently frisked, Labrador yielded three more sachets of suspected shabu, a mobile phone, and a black coin purse.

Lieutenant Colonel Albert Sy, ICPS5 chief, said the suspect is an alleged street pusher.

His name has been on the police watchlist several months ago following a tip from an informant.

Sy said they are still verifying if Labrador had previous infractions, although he had no records with ICPS5.

The suspect is now detained and will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
