Close to P1M worth of ‘shabu’ seized in 4 days

BACOLOD City – An estimated P981,300 worth of suspected shabu were seized in separate buy-bust operations in Negros Occidental from May 3 to 6.

On May 6, Rajean Paul Pescadilla, 30, of Barangay Guinhalaran, Silay City, was arrested at the said village for possessing four sachets of suspected shabu (crystal meth) weighing seven grams worth P105,000.

Also seized was an improvised tooter, a pair of scissors, a cellular phone, coin purse, P137, the P500 marked money, and P6,000 boodle or fake money.

Also arrested last Monday was Joemar Parcon, 35, of Barangay Villamonte, Bacolod City. He is a drug surrenderer and a high value target.

Police confiscated from Parcon three sachets of suspected shabu worth P50,000, the P500 marked money, and drug paraphernalia. He is detained at Police Station 7.

Over the weekend, Herman Olpenda was arrested Sunday after he allegedly yielded four sachets of suspected shabu worth P15,000, the P500 marked money, and a coin purse. He is detained at Police Station 9.

On May 4, Marvic Diola, 25; and Francisco Nuñal, 56, both residents of Barangay 2 in Bacolod City were arrested for alleged drug peddling in their village.

Diola is a newly-identified drug personality while Nuñal, who is a government employee, is a high value target, police records indicated.

The duo yielded five sachets of suspected shabu worth P150,000, the P500 marked money, an improvised .45-caliber un, and drug paraphernalia. They are detained at Police Station 7.

Also arrested in the city last Saturday was Rolly Gumabras, 39, of Barangay Banago after police seized from him six sachets of suspected shabu worth P125,000, the P500 marked money, drug paraphernalia, and a coin purse. He is detained at Police Station 3.

Richard Perma, 37, of Barangay 8 was also collared after he allegedly sold a sachet of shabu to a police agent for P200 last Saturday. Authorities recovered from him seven sachets of suspected shabu worth P40,000, the P200 marked money, and coin purse.

In Cadiz City, Josue Mamon Jr., 40; and Charito Mamon, 42, were arrested at Barangay Zone 4 on the same day after police seized from them eight sachets of suspected shabu worth P33,000, and the P500 marked money.

On May 3, Nolito Cuadra, 53, a high value target, and Ryan Cuadra, 26, both residents of Barangay 2, Bacolod City; and Mark Anthony Galicia, 29, of Barangay 6 were also detained at Barangay 2 for alleged drug peddling and possession.

They yielded 13 sachets of suspected shabu worth P240,000, the P1,000 marked money, and a coin purse. All three are detained at Police Station 2.

On the same day, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Negros Occidental raided an alleged drug den and arrested seven persons at Barangay Banago, this city.

Arrested were target subject Frullan Babila Cui, Jemar Elisan Balcero, Jomari Manzanares Gayares, Martin Asin Gomez, Deither Castro Trecho, Ramil Tribeles Gomez, and Ramuel Miranda Lopez.

According to PDEA, Cui is a high-value target who has been operating the drug den for six months now in the village. Recovered from his possession were five sachets of suspected shabu weighing 15 grams and worth P102,000.

Last Friday, Elbert Casiano, 51, of Barangay Banago, this city was arrested in the said village, after he yielded six sachets of suspected shabu worth P75,000, and the P500 marked money.

Casiano, a high value target, is detained at Police Station 3.

In Talisay City, Daniel Rojo, 45, of Barangay Zone 5 was arrested last week for the confiscation of eight sachets of suspected shabu worth P35,000, the P500 marked money, and P600 in cash.

Also arrested in Bacolod City were Hernani Aguilar, 45, of Barangay Taculing; and Hervon Aguilar, 40, of Barangay 19 after both were allegedly caught in a drug bust at Barangay Taculing.

Police seized from them seven sachets of suspected shabu worth P10,000, the P300 marked money, a pouch, and drug paraphernalia. Both suspects are detained at Police Station 6.

In Escalante City, Aljon Villanueva, 25, of Barangay Langub was detained for possessing five sachets of suspected shabu worth P1,300. He is a high value target of the police.
