THE Iloilo City government inspected Jalandoni Memorial School’s sports facilities and vowed to improve its old track field.

With the collaboration of Executive Assistant for Sports Rudiver Jungco and lone district Rep. Julienne Baronda, plans toward the rehabilitation of the track oval are underway.

During the inspection, they found out that the field is already old and the grass was not maintained.

In an interview, Jungco said, “We plan to improve the oval so that the athletes can fully maximize their talents and have a proper venue for it.”

Jalandoni is one of the premier sports school built in Iloilo, but insufficient funding hindered the improvement of its sports facilities.

Excelling in almost every sport since the mid-2000s, the Iloilo City government’s goal is to help rebuild Jalandoni’s sports facilities.

Once the funding is released, the Iloilo City government will immediately implement the plan.
