City district health centers open for second booster shot of immuno-compromised

Iloilo City is now ready to administer the second booster shots of COVID-19 vaccines through district health centers, but it will only be limited to those who are immuno-compromised.

Mayor Jerry Treñas made the announcement Monday.

“Starting today, we are open to give the second dose booster shot to our immuno-compromised. We have booster shots sa aton mga health centers,” he said during the press conference on Monday.

The mayor said that those who are qualified to avail of the second booster may choose from Pfizer, Moderna, Jansen, and Sinovac.

From April 25 to April 29, 2022, the following district health centers shall be open for the vaccination of first, second, and booster shots:

*Jaro I District Health Center – Plaza Jaro beside fire station

*Jaro II District Health Center – Tagbak gym beside fire station

*La Paz – beside La Paz maternity

*Lapuz / Bo Obrero District Health Center

*Sto. Rosario District Health Center – Sto. Rosario-Duran Multi-purpose Hall

*Tanza District Health Center

*Arevalo District Health Center – inside Arevalo gym

*Mandurriao District Health Center – beside fire and police stations

*Molo District Health Center – Molo plaza

The national government gave the green light for the second booster shot, but only for the immunocompromised such as those with immunodeficiency, HIV, cancer (active), receiving transplant, patients taking immunosuppressive drugs, and those who are bedridden. (DG)
