The Cignal HD Spikers are looking to reclaim their volleyball supremacy after acquiring big names in the 2022 free agency pool.

Hours after their mega-signings, the HD Spikers confirmed five new incoming players that will reinforce them in the upcoming conference of the Premier Volleyball League (PVL).

Leading the pack of the newcomers are former Petro Gazz main gunners Ces Molina and Ria Meneses.

Molina and Meneses will have their long-awaited reunion with their former head coach Shaq Delos Santos, who is the current head of the sideline for the HD Spikers.

Aside from the offensive duo, Jerrili Malabanan, Marist Layug, and Ilongga Glaudine Troncoso were also added to the stacked roster of the squad.

With the presence of PVL’s Best Middle Blocker in Meneses and notable defensive-minded blockers in Layug and Troncoso, the HD Spikers are expected to perform better defensively than what they showed during PVL’s last conference.

Molina, Meneses, Malabanan, Layug, and Troncoso will join superstar Rachel Daquis, Graze Bombita, Gel Cayuna, Angeli Araneta, and Bia General as the main core of the HD Spikers.

Cignal is seeking to bounce back from a last-place finish during the last PVL leg in the Open Conference bubble held in Bacarra, Ilocos Norte, winning just one game out of their nine outings.
