The Manila Chooks 3×3 squad officially welcomed former PBA veteran and MPBL superstar Mark Yee as their newest member.

Aiming to play high-level hoop in the upcoming 2021 FIBA 3×3 Lipik Challenger in Croatia, head coach Aldin Ayo knew Yee was the perfect man to boost their roster.

“Mark Yee is a good addition to our pool since he stretches the floor and has been known to be a good defender in the post,” said Ayo.

The six-foot-three forward recently led the Davao Occidental –Cocolife Tigers to the first-ever Chooks-to-Go MPBL bubble championship against their rival squad San Juan Knights.

Yee was named as the Finals Most Valuable Player and cemented his legacy with the Cocolife Tigers after burying the game-winning triple during their championship game.

The team is already training under the helm of Ayo with the presence of coaches McJour Luib and Marvin Pangilinan and staff member Mark Ordoñez.

“We would like to thank the Games and Amusements Board, headed by chairman Baham Mitra, for helping us find a training venue for our team. We are also grateful to Quezon Governor Danilo Suarez and provincial sports head Jonas Guiao for accomodating our team,” said Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3×3 league owner Ronald Mascariñas.

Completing team PH who will fly to Croatia with Yee are Chico Lanete, Mac Tallo, Dennis Santos, and Zach Huang.
