Carlos Hilado Memorial State College (CHMSC) Greening CHMSC Task Force and Group of Environmental Socialist in collaboration with Philippine Science High School (PSHS) Western Visayas Campus embarked on a tree-planting and growing activity, in celebration of the National Environmental Awareness Month, last October 23, 2019 in CHMSC Jesus Fermin Campus, Municipality of E.B. Magalona.

100 Odling and Kalumpit seedlings, donated by Dr. Regie Sy, were planted in the various areas of the campus.

“Hopefully, this would pave way for support towards other efforts here in Negros. We aim to promote a sense of environmental importance in the sense that we want other people to think about the environment a little bit more actively, instead of just thinking about how the environment should be cared for”, Aaron Philip Dael, Project SCALE (Service Creativity Action Leadership Enhancement) and grade 12 PSHS STEM Student.

“We need to get out there and do something about the problem we have about deforestation,” he added.
