Charlotte Hornets’ superstar small forward Miles Bridges announced that he might be making his National Basketball Association (NBA) return next month.

In an interview with The Associated Press last February 23, 2023, the high-flying star told them that the investigation done by the NBA is still ongoing but is reaping favorable results.

Bridges was arrested last June 29, 2022, following an altercation with his girlfriend in front of their two children.

The Los Angeles County district attorney confirmed that Bridges’ girlfriend accused him of assault and later on charged him with felony domestic violence.

According to a report by TMZ, Bridges surrendered himself to the Los Angeles Police Department moments after the heated altercation with his girlfriend.

Last July 19, Los Angeles County confirmed that Bridges will be facing three felony domestic violence charges: one of injuring a child’s parent and two counts of child abuse under conditions likely to cause death.

However, a day after, Bridges pleaded not guilty but received a three-year probation under seven specific circumstances.

First, Bridges must undergo 52 weeks of domestic counseling, 52 weeks of parenting classes, serve 100 hours of community service, undergo weekly drug testing, pay an $800 fine for domestic violence and restitution, can’t own any weapons or ammunition, and obey a 10-year protective restraining order from the woman.

The former no. 12 lottery pick during the 2018 NBA Draft was supposed to become Lamelo Ball’s 1-2 punch at Charlotte but the franchise suddenly dipped due to his absence from the playing court.

Bridges was coming off an impressive year after tallying all career-highs with 20.2 points, seven rebounds, and 3.8 assists during the past NBA season.

Currently, the Hornets are one of the worst teams in the league and is sitting at the second to the last spot in the Eastern Conference with a 17-43 win-loss record.
