John Riel Casimero is months away from his blockbuster fight with Japanese sensation, the unbeaten Naoya Inoue.

Nonoy Neri, Casimero’s trainer, said that Casimero’s power has elevated to a whole new level that might cause trouble for the Japanese slugger.

“We have been doing the mitts. The power is greater. The punches carry much weight, heavy. He really got stronger,” Neri said.

However, Neri emphasized that it will not only take Casimero’s power to take down the Japanese beast.

“Conditioning is okay. No problem. He (Casimero) has power and speed already. More on speed, because Inoue is fast,” Neri added.

The overwhelming power and speed Inoue displayed during his mega-fight with Filipino Nonito Donaire shocked most, clinching a unanimous decision win over one of the best bantamweights.

To do that, Neri stated that he will be overhauling Casimero’s diet to gain the desired speed that he thinks best fits against Inoue.

No more rice. More on protein, fruits and vegetables,” said Neri.
