ROXAS CITY, Capiz – The chief of the Provincial General Services Office (PGSO) decried that he was a victim of disinformation allegedly spread by a lady neighbor at Brgy. Lawaan here.

Eduardo “Boy” Apa-ap said his daughter and some relatives in the United State of America (USA) got alarmed after receiving reports that he contracted the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

“Daw indi ina maayo nga patu-patoan kita nga may Covid kag indi sang matuod,” Apa-ap said.

He clarified that an employee of his office was infected with the virus. The employee is under quarantine.

He said that some of their employees are working from home in keeping with the flexible working schedule.

Apa-ap added that he is also the officer-in-charge of the Capiz Rehabilitation Center (CRC) in Brgy. Lawaan here.

He said that he has no plans to sue the person who spread the rumor as she may have been merely misinformed.

Capiz Governor Esteban Evan Nonoy Contreras designated Apa-ap as OIC of the CRC following the relief of provincial jail warden Arjuna Yngcong months ago.
