Capitol signs MOA with ICAE Australia for scholarship program

Negros Occ. Gov. Bong Lacson signed a Memorandum of Agreement with International College of Advance Education (ICAE) and the recipients of the Australia Scholarship “Study Now, Pay Later” Program, at the Governor’s Office, Provincial Capito on Sept 1, 2022.

ICAE is based in Darwin, Northern Territory, Australia, represented by its Chief Executive Officer, Sean Mahoney.

The said scholarship aims to provide the Negrense youth with opportunity to study and work in Northern Territory, Australia and pave the way for them to obtain work visa and eventually permanent work visa and residency.

The recipients are qualified and deserving Negrense students in the field of hospitality, tourism and cookery.

The five scholars are Renina Mondrianne Alaban, Janica Ross Besana, Jason Mamar, Mark Moreno, Coleen Keith Villanueva.

Under the Agreement, the province shall provide the necessary funding for the two-year extensive training course for Hospitality and two years for Commercial Cookery inclusive of tuition fee, medical exam, and other necessary fees.

It is stated in the agreement that ICAE will provide qualified the Negrense scholars with vocational training, which will incorporate an equal mix of classroom study and paid industry placement for hospitality and commercial cookery.

All international programs offered by ICAE are accredited and approved by the Australian Government.

The “Study Now, Pay Later” Australia Scholarship Program is one of the scholarship categories managed by the Negros Occ. Scholarship Program headed by Karen Dinsay. (Capitol PIO)
