After getting stranded in a hotel for almost a week due to the OFW protocol of the national government, star PH spiker Bryan Bagunas was finally cleared to go home after getting his swab results.

Bagunas tested negative for COVID-19 and immediately went home after several people from the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) offered him help.

PSC chairman Butch Ramirez, Bases Conversion and Development Authority President and CEO Vince Dizon, and Department of Tourism Secretary Berna Romulo-Puyat were all instrumental in facilitating Bagunas’ journey home after testing negative.

The PH national team member arrived in the country after his stint in Japan with the Oita Miyoshi Weisse Adler but had to be placed under quarantine where he waited for his swab results before heading home.

Health officials said that after 3-4 days, the swab test results will come out but the waiting time lasted for a week which led to Bagunas seeking help to address the delay.

Bagunas stayed in B hotel in Alabang, one of the government-accredited hotels, together with the other Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW).
