GINEBRA Gin Kings blew out the Magnolia Hotshots, 102-81, behind Justin Brownlee’s new career high of 49 points in the highly-anticipated Manila Clasico of the 2019 PBA Commissioner’s Cup at the Araneta Coliseum on July 7, 2019.

The Tim Cone-led Kings had trouble as the Hotshots went on a 10-0 run in the opening quarter.

Brownlee responded and fired on all cylinders to bring back Ginebra into contention.

The first half was a low scoring contest with Magnolia ahead by only a point, 47-46.

In the third frame, the Gin Kings caught fire and torched the Hotshots by scoring 38 baskets and established a 14-point cushion, 78-64.

Fueled and confident, the Gin Kings sustained their firepower and never looked back until the final whistle.

James Farr of the Hotshots had a solid game and delivered his best output offensively, scoring 34 points and grabbing 21 big boards.

Japeth Aguilar defended Ginebra’s paint by blocking 3 shots while adding 18 points on the side.

Mark Barocca and Ian Sangalang were the only locals for the Hotshots to score in double figures, 16 and 14 baskets, respectively.
