ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A 44-year-old farmer landed in a hospital after he was hacked by three brothers Sunday evening at Sitio Sinamongan, Brgy. Bangon-bangon in Sigma, Capiz.
Police identified the victim as Richard Danieles-Voluntad of Brgy. Bangon-bangon while the suspects were the Balisot brothers – Ricky, 42, Ronnie, 38; and Edwin – all residents of Brgy. Duyoc, Dao, Capiz.
lnvestigation by the Sigma police indicated that Voluntad was on his way home on board a motorcycle when the suspects blocked his way.
The suspects then attacked the victim with bolos.
The attack was halted after some bystanders intervened.
The victim was brought to Sen. Gerry Roxas Memorial District Hospital in Dao town and was later transferred to Capiz Doctors Hospital.
The three suspects were arrested and detained at the Sigma police station.
