Bridgestone offers hassle-free tire maintenance on Warranty Program

You just got quality tires for your vehicle and now you’re probably wondering what are the inclusions in the warranty. Always remember that maintaining your tires is very important to consider to keep you safe along the road. So if you have purchased new tires from Bridgestone, we break down the things that you need to know about their Warranty Program.

TIRE WARRANTY ELIGIBILITY

The brand offers a Limited Warranty program that covers all Bridgestone brand passenger and light truck tires – except “temporary use” spare tires. You can enjoy hassle-free tire maintenance for 7 years under certain conditions. To keep this valid, it is the owner’s obligations to perform regular tire inspection and maintenance practices such as but not limited to – operating tires at the proper tire inflation pressures as specified by the vehicle manufacturer and within tire/ vehicle load capacity and speed limitations, and; maintaining proper wheel alignment and tire/ wheel assembly balance.

Keep in mind that tire adjustments under this Limited Warranty, including those for Bridgestone Run-Flat tires, will only be made at an authorized retailer [insert link: https://bridgestonetires.com.ph/tire-center]. They should be able to provide you proper guidance on how to go about warranty claims, perform tire adjustments, and more. The Limited Warranty only applies to the original purchaser, and is valid if all of the following apply:

The tire was purchased from an official Bridgestone Retailer

The tire is a size and speed rating equivalent to or greater than that specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

The tire has been used only on the vehicle on which it was originally installed.

The tire has not been used in commercial service.

The tire has not been imported or manufactured from South America and South Africa.

USER ERROR VS MANUFACTURER CONTROL

When the time comes your tire becomes unusable because of the following reasons: tire damage or irregular wear due to road hazards, including, without limitation: Puncture, cut, impact break, stone drill, bruise, bulge, snag, etc. Improper use or operation, improper maintenance, the tires are used in commercial service or for racing or competition purposes, rapid tread wear or wear-out, tires inflated with anything other than air or nitrogen. They will not be covered by the Limited Warranty.

If your tire becomes unusable for any reason within the manufacturer’s control, it will be replaced with an equivalent new tire either free of charge or for a prorated amount and other conditions that will be mentioned below which are set in the Limited Warranty.

The free tire replacement period extends up to 3 years from the date of purchase but it is required to show your proof of purchase or 4 years from the date of tire manufacture without proof of purchase date. The tire will be replaced for free during this period but charges may apply for taxes, the cost of valve stems, and disposal fees.

If the free trial replacement period ends, the coverage can extend up to 5 years from the date of purchase, take note that proof of purchase date is required, or 6 years from the date of tire manufacture without proof of purchase date. During this period, the tire will be replaced but there will be a prorated charge.

The tire must not be worn to 2/32 inch (1.6 mm) or less remaining original tread depth (i.e. worn down to the top of the built-in indicators in the tread grooves).
