A resident of Boracay Island in Malay, Aklan was arrested for a murder case morning of August 9, 2021.

Aaron Abalajon, 38, was collared at Sitio Lugutan, Barangay Manoc Manoc, Boracay Island.

The arresting team included members of the Kalibo Police Station, 2nd Kalibo Provincial Mobile Force Company, Malay Police Station, Pototan Police Station, and the Iloilo Police Provincial Office – Special Operations Group (IPPO-SOG) came in full force to arrest the suspect.

Abalajon is facing a murder charge in Criminal Case No. 21-10081.

Judge Domingo Casiple Jr. of the Iloilo Regional Trial Court Branch 68 in P.D Monfort North, Dumangas, Iloilo issued the warrant on June 28, 2021.

No bail was recommended for Abalajon’s temporary liberty.

Major Ciriaco Esquilarga, Pototan police chief, said Abalajon is considered as one of Pototan’s most wanted persons.

Esquilarga said Abalajon married a native of Barangay Danao, Pototan which could be the reason why he was involved in a murder charge in the area.

Abalajon was accused along with several other men.

It was assumed that he might be unaware of the arrest warrant against him, as he was still active on social media prior to his arrest.
