Will Robert Bolick still play for the NorthPort Batang Pier?

Questions started to float after the superstar point guard reportedly didn’t sign an extension to play for NorthPort after his contract expired last January 31, 2022.

Multiple sources also bared that both Bolick and the NorthPort management still haven’t come to any terms regarding his extension.

With the PBA Governor’s Cup formally returning this February 11, Bolick will likely no longer wear the white and orange jersey with only six days remaining till he decides on his contract.

Several days ago, rumors also spread that Bolick was being courted by several teams in the Japan B. League to play for them in the next season as an Asian import.

Bolick is yet to respond whether he will be flying to Japan and leave the PBA or will he transfer from NorthPort to another team.

NorthPort’s main center Greg Slaughter also wasn’t able to re-sign an extension after his contract expired the same day as Bolick.

Slaughter came to NorthPort after a mega-trade between them and the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel took place two seasons ago.

The seven-foot Slaughter saw his numbers go up when he arrived in NorthPort, averaging 14.2 points and 9.5 rebounds in his two conferences with the team.

Both Bolick and Slaughter are still available in the free agency pool and teams from the other PBA franchises are yet to make their move.
