Blacklist International’s one-two punch Johnmar “OhMyV33nus” Villaluna and Danerie James “Wise” del Rosario made a tough decision to skip the incoming Mobile Legends Professional League (MPL) Philippines Season 9 and will be taking a break from competitive gaming.

Leading the storied esports organization to back-to-back MPL crowns in Seasons 7 and 8, the ‘V33Wise’ duo proved to be a potent combination for Blacklist.

Both landed on Blacklist after a mega-trade was done between them and Onic Philippines in exchange for Kairi “Kairi” Rayosdelsol, one of the most celebrated core players in Asia.

V33Wise’s decision to skip MPL Season 9 was readily supported by Blacklist.

“The V33Wise tandem has nothing left to prove to our organization as they have exceeded all our expectations in their first year in Blacklist International,” wrote the esports organization in a statement.

Aside from dominating the MPL, V33Wise also proved they can dominate the international stage after clinching the most prestigious ML tournament, the Mobile Legends M3 World Championships.

Blacklist set up an all-Filipino grand finals after sweeping Onic PH and took home the grand prize money of $300,000 (15 million pesos).

“The duo will remain under the management of Tier One Entertainment and they are excited to use this break to pursue personal goals and spend more quality time with their families,” Blacklist added.
