BIR receives recognition for 100% resolution of concerns/complaints

The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) has again received a recognition from the Office of the President’s 8888 Citizens’ Complaint Center (8888 CCC) for its 100% Resolution Rate of Citizens Concerns/Complaints for the period January 2022 to June 2022.

Since January 2021, the BIR has been consistent in achieving a 100% Resolution Rate.

This year the Bureau also managed to attain a 100% Compliance Rate in the processing and resolution of complaints/concerns received.

Based on the latest complaint statistics report received by the BIR, the 8888 Citizens’ Complaint Center has referred six hundred seventy-six (676) citizens’ concerns to the Bureau as of June 2022. Of this number, 676 or 100% of the tickets were acted upon by the concerned BIR offices within the prescribed 72 hour-processing time.

“We would like to commend BIR’s efforts in ensuring that all concerns referred to your office are acted upon on time,” as stated in the 8888 CCC Report.

“The BIR will be utilizing these complaints and concerns as valuable feedback to further improve our services to taxpayers,” Commissioner Lilia Catris Guillermo said.
